Last sunday at 17:00 hrs, 11 Scouts and Guides made their first official walk at the Centre guided by Mark, our Director, and Jens, Internal Services Director. The tour, called "Living @ KISC", is their first introduction to what will become their home for the next 3 months.
As this is not only the home of the Pinkies but also the home for many Scouts and Guides from all over the world, they will be intensively trained by our current staff in all services the Centre provides: Reception, House, Maintenance, Programme, Shop and more.
And, as a World Scout Centre, there is no better way to "kick off" a season by raising the Crystal Flag that represents the 6 WOSM Scout Regions and is the symbol of KISC, as illustrated in this picture.
We expect to have them all in brand-new Pink t-shirts by this weekend, just in time to welcome the KISC Association Committee & KISC Foundation Board members for their meetings.
Who is new on our staff?:
- Ah Ruem, from Korea.
- Dave, from England.
- Enrique, from Spain.
- Creighton, from Canada.
- Lynsey, from England.
- Malcom (AKA "Skorpio"), from Scotland.
- Pip, from Australia.
- Rakel, from Iceland.
- Robert, from Canada.
- Stefan, from Germany.
Do you know any of these guys? If so, don't miss the chance to write a comment on this article and send them a message!
Together with them, we have also recruited Mark, a UK Scout and carpenter. Now wearing a green "Helper" t-shirt, Mark has become a new member of Paul Lawrenson's team and will help in everything that has to do with finishing the Kander-Lodge, along with other friends in "green" listed as Alex (UK), Indi (UK) and Michael (DE).
Welcome to Spring... watch the flowers grow!
