Usually I do not do smiles...18.01.2010
I'm Chris, I come from Kent, England and I work at KISC as Grounds Assistant. My "KISC career" started in 2006 when I was here first as Short Term Staff.
In my almost three years of KISC career, under various titles and doing different jobs, I learnt a lot about scouting in other countries, winter sports, Switzerland and of course about maintenance and grouds! Oh yeah, because I spend most of my time building things and playing with carpenter tools in the workshop, waiting for the snow to melt so that I can start caring about the campsite!
What about nowadays? Well, a busy weekend with the Klondike Derby is just over. I had acouple of full days with the troops staying at theTower. At 6.00am my alarm clock would get me up for the breakfast call and so on during the day with lots of cleaning, cooking and helping around! It was really enjoyable and the guys were super helpful.
Now, I am looking forward to a day of ski with the Staff in the surrounding area and why not, also for a little bit of relax. Not sure yet what I will do but most likely you may spot me going for a stroll with Willow, my beloved dog, or cross countrying around the villge.
