The Best of All Worlds11.08.2016
Hello! My Name is Charlie and I am from Cyprus! I am generally always smiling, if it be because of having a joke with my fellow pinkies or all of the new friends that I have made during my time here at KISC so far, everyday I have a new reason to smile.
Here at KISC I am an activity guide, which means I get to show guests from all over the world the amazing workshops that we have to offer. I get to do some hiking, showing guests the Doldenhornhutte, which is my favourite place to visit as it has the best view from a toilet in the world. And then there are the weekly activities, International campfire being the highlight of my week, every week, learning new songs and sketches from all over the world.
As well as my `day job` I get to work in other areas, like the kitchen and the front office and I`ve even had a chance to help in the PR department which is super cool, so I really get the best of all worlds!
Everyday is different. From teaching scouts about the environment and how to light a fire using only a magnifying glass, to using our super fast dishwasher and answering questions and checking guests into their rooms. There is never a dull moment, when around a large variety of guests from all over the world and working with a crazy and yet, equally fantastic team of people, which is why I am always super excited to work and smiling as I go about my day here at the permanent mini jamboree.
