Last saturday the first flag break of the Summer season took place at Kandersteg International Scout Centre to welcome our new Short Term Staff.
This Summer our team will be formed by 33 Short Term Staff plus 29 Long Term Staff, from a total of 30 different countries! These numbers will be even increased when the High Season Staff (7 extra pinkies) and the Snow & Ice guides (3 extra guides for glaciar expeditions) will join us in about a month. But that is not all: this summer many other Helpers will also be seen around the Centre wearing tradtional green t-shirts.
This huge international team will have the task to prepare "the camp of a lifetime" for almost 8,000 Scouts and Guides who will visit Kandersteg this summer! At the moment, our new Short Term Staff is being trained to learn everything about all the different working areas and -more important- how to keep the "magic of KISC" alive. The Short Term Staff is formed by volunteers who come from countries such as Mongolia, Nicaragua, Taiwan, Ghana, Estonia, Sweden, United States, Ireland, Argentina, Israel and many more.
If you are a relative/friend/girldfriend/husband or however you know one of our new Short Term Staff, take the chance to write a comment and leave a message from them in this article.
Welcome to Kandersteg! Come and live your dreams!
