Simply Can't Stop Smiling!24.01.2014
Hej alle sammen! I am Caroline from Denmark and I am happy to be here at KISC as a winter shortie. So what made me smile the last week? A lot of things because there is always something to smile at when you're working at KISC. But one thing that definitely made me smile the last week was the skiing World Cup in Adelboden. We were a bunch of pinkies who went over there to see the race and feel the true World Cup spirit! It was very impressive to see the World Cup skiers and we had loads of fun!
Another thing that made me smile was the "Klondike" group we had this weekend. It is an annual event The Boy Scouts of America's Trans Atlantic Council. They were about 300 American Scouts who live on army bases around Europe, who came to KISC for a weekend and filled up the entire Centre. It was nice too see the Centre so full of life! I was one of the "god parents" for the troop staying at the Tower. It was a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun because you to work very closely with the troop and really got to know them over the weekend.
One thing that not just made me smile this week, but always makes me smile is the absolutely amazing surroundings of the Centre. Even though you might be cleaning toilets, you can't do anything but smile when you look outside the window and see the sun shining on the mountains all covered in snow. It must without a doubt be one of the most incredible views in the world! And when you're lucky enough to be living in the middle of the beautiful Swiss Alps for three months you simply can't stop smiling. :)
