The peak of the summer is now over at KISC which means my time at the Centre is almost up. This week at KISC I have been preparing for the arrival of my successor, Alexandros (GR) and I’ve been lucky enough to have a party in my honour at the Sunneblick.
After almost 7 years, 9 Summers, seeing thousands of guests and hundreds of Staff pass through KISC (and no D-Days, but one G-Day) it’s soon time for me to leave KISC. Looking back, there have been many highlights (August 1st 2007 stands out as a big one), some lows, some hard times but most off all great times being on Staff here.
My last summer at KISC has been one of the best for weather, which makes a change from quite a few wet summers, and also almost entirely smooth due to a great team of LTS running the Centre. I’ve managed to still do new hikes and activities on my days off which shows how much there is to do in Kandersteg and the surrounding area. Kandersteg will definitely be a hard place to leave!
I’m sure I will be back at KISC in the future to meet many of you as a member of the KISC Association and part of the Ex-Staff. Good luck to the new Staff starting in Autumn and thanks to everyone for a great experience at KISC.
