Close to the end of my contract as Administration Assistant, I start evaluating this year and the strongest feeling is gratitude.
I’m really grateful for having wonderful people surrounding me since the beginning, with a friendly Bulgarian training me and a crazy Swiss on the other side of the desk. I also had the pleasure to have the company of amaaaazing and melodic Australians, talkative Irish, lovely Swiss, punny Swedish, many many English, huggable Portuguese, always smiley Japanese, Americans that are out of this world (the moon maybe?), outstanding Austrian, Spanish that would make you fell home, South African that are always up for a talk, beautiful Finnish, crazy Danish, yôgi or froggy Dutchies and the friend for life Brazilian.
I could enjoy the company of people from all over the world who made my day better or made me stronger. Ahn, I also had the company of the trouble maker, sock eater, Maxi that I will miss a lot too!
I had some friends visiting, warming up my heart and I had the opportunity to visit some friends too, getting to know their home places and more about their background.
Saying goodbye to them is quite hard, but it makes me feel lucky that I have really good friends to miss in all continents.
I’m grateful for being able to live in the amazing Swiss alps, experiencing real winter with snow for the first time, learning to ski, hiking the most beautiful mountains and having breath-taking views. Grateful for being part of BP’s dream, helping to keep it alive, and that he gave me the ability to be a dreamer 22 years ago when I joined scouts.
And most of all, I am thankful to realise the world is quite small, because I have all these people in my heart.
