Making the most out of my time in the Alps04.09.2013
Good day!To all you lovely people possibly reading this right now.
My name is Nandesh, but people also call me Nandos, and I'm from the UK; London to be more precise. Somehow I was chosen to be Smile of the Week, which I cannot be more happy about.
So I'm writing in my last couple of days at KISC, and this is the last week for all of the Summer 2013 Short Term Staff. There is only one way to describe the past three months of my life here at Kandersteg and that is...AMAZING! I have not had a better summer ever. There are so many things that make me smile here.
First of all, the people here are amazing, all the staff always know how to have a good time, but if you've been a guest here, you know that already! The guests are also pretty fun (Had to give you guys a mention). I've had so many amazing experiences up here in the Swiss Alps. I've been Paragliding, Canyoning, had numerous hikes only to be in awe of the amazing views. Not to mention I'm writing this after returning spending 2 days on a glacier doing Snow and Ice activities!
I've definitely made friends for life here, and shared many memories and experiences that I am never going to forget. Sadly, we're all going to move on to our new adventures at the end of the week. Although, that's not a problem, I've had so many great moments which I will cherish and will keep me smiling for a long time.
I can be happy about all of the time I've spent out here, and I hope all of you keep smiling and keep loving KISC as much as I do. However only one quote comes to mind as I write this:
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened"
