It is the weird and the little things that brings happiness16.10.2013
Hello Everybody I am Aurélie or how people here in KISC like to say “Oh really”. I am the Swiss smiley shortie of this amazing season, Autumn. Living here in the heart of the Alps is so different than in my home town Bern but I really like it. It is definitely the ‘pinkest’ and the best place I have ever been to and I really think it is a miracle that there is a place like this in Switzerland so near to my home. When you are here as a Pinkie you feel something indescribable in your heart which makes you smile the whole time. This amazing and magic feeling is the reason why I wake up with a smile on my face and go to sleep with an even bigger one because I am looking forward to the next day. But still there is one single thing here at KISC that makes me cry: the meanest onions ever! They make me burst into tears in the kitchen in a really dramatic way. I do not know why but they really don’t seam to like me. Still we are getting on better day by day and I’m on the best way to become an onion-machine, although a very emotional one ?
I personally try to make at least one person smile every day because seeing the people I like smiling, makes me happy. This is the main reason why on my afternoon off last Sunday I sat on a bench with Libby (UK) and we waved at cars for one hour hoping it would make people smile. It was an amazing feeling to see how they waved back and drove away with a big smile on their faces. I really understand if you think we are two weird silly chickens but after our Wavy-session we were both really happy. So, if you ever feel sad just go out, sit on a bench and wave at cars. I promise it helps!
Fact is: I just can’t stop smiling as long as I am here, because the people and the experience here are simply the best things that ever happened to me ?
Keep smiling and waving at cars!
