Ground Floor - Week #2: The Hole21.09.2009
Over the last week the Staff has been busy training our new Autumn Pinkies - what means that all areas of work have to be covered only by Long Term Staff. To compensate this lack of help during the training week, Paul Lawrenson managed to "recruit" two Scandinavian girls to help him out: Kathrine (DK, ex-staff 1993) and Helga (SE, ex-staff 2008); both long-time friends of this 86 years old Scout Centre.
The truth is that Paul already managed to put down almost all walls in the Ground Floor of the Old Chalet, and only the ones that will make the new rooms remain there. This also means that now we can see the size of each one of the future social areas according to the Ground Floor plan.
Today's novelty is a big hole in the wall between the Shop and the Old Main Hall, making it now possible to look from the Reception area into the Old Chalet!
Now our Short Term Staff have graduated and are all wearing the official Pink uniform, making them ready to join Lawrenson's Force. According to the man, the work is progressing as planned and hopefully the renovation will be done by December.
Keep on rocking Paul!
