FROM PEARL OF AFRICA TO THE HEART OF SWISS ALPS21.11.2013
I am Ronald (UG), my smile comes from the heart, I am very humble Scout leader in the Uganda Scout Association, which is quite far from Europe and it is God’s mercy for me to be here walking on the snow instead of mud, really snow makes me so happy and clean all the time. Well, KISC to me has become totally a school of integrity and growth whichis a benefit to the Scouts I am leading at home and community at large, because my future plan is to teach people at home what I have learnt from KISC.
It was so exciting to me to become the SMILE OF THE WEEK. I did not know that all my fellow staff at KISC like my easy smile that is awesome, well, to become a smile of the week it looks like something simple but to me carries value and shows me that everyone at KISC is my friend because I was voted unopposed, Oh my God!!
My stay at KISC for the three months has been a very great opportunity in my life and has connected me to the entire world and I believe that from KISC my life will never be the same with the guidance of God. At the moment I am connected to the rest of the world 50% with the friends from here at KISC, so my appeal to all scouts in the world mostly those from the third world countries please if you get a chance to come and work at KISC, do not hesitate to come.
By the way, do you know that working at KISC is not this other normal work places, but it is a chance to represent your country into Scouting while living in the Great Swiss Alps. I am very lucky that I have experienced both the sweet weather seasons of Europe, having arrived during summer and now I am enjoying winter, so I have a lot to tell friends at home. Two months and two weeks have already passed and time is not on my side, I am not ready to leave this great new home and awesome family to me.
