David Bull, Founder of the UK-Kandersteg Network is Honoured with OBE31.12.2014
This morning, we received the news that David Bull, former UK International Commissioner and founder of the UK-Kandersteg Network, has been awarded with an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s New Year Honours List, “For services to Young People in the UK and Europe through the Scout Movement.” This is awarded for having a major local role in any activity, including people whose work has made them known nationally in their chosen area and is the second tier of national awards. David now joins Aidan Jones, former Director of KISC, with those awarded with this prestigious honour.
It is through David's efforts as International Commissioner of the Scout Association and with the UK-Kandersteg Network throughout the past few years, that we owe great thanks to the large numbers of British guests who visit KISC every year. We want to send our congratulations to him at this time, from all of us here on KISC Staff and Committee.
