A smiling virus29.11.2015
It is easy to smile when you are in Pink. Guests and Staff will smile at you anyways, and it becomes normal to smile back. In fact, it feels almost contagious to smile at KISC. But what is the secret behind our smiles? We don’t smile like Mona Lisa does, as if we were hiding something, but there is definitely something that makes us smile without knowing the reason. There is something in the alpine air when mixed with Scouting that spreads a smiling virus. We like to call it the “Magic of Kandersteg”.
The beautiful and awesome mountains, the amazing nature and surroundings really get some extra value when in the middle of it all you bring a bunch of Scouts from all over the World who want to share their experiences and values, working together for a better world. If you are a Scout you will feel it straight away, you will arrive here and feel at home. If you are not a Scout you will definitely feel that this is not only an accommodation in the Alps, but that there is something more to it.
Kandersteg is where strangers feel like brothers and sisters, and become friends for a lifetime. Kandersteg is where you push yourself to the limits in alpine adventure and learn about yourself and the environment. Kandersteg is the dream of B.P. for a Permanent Mini-Jamboree, the home of Scouting. So this is the Magic of Kandersteg and this is why we smile.
