A roller coaster of emotions!18.08.2016
This week has been a roller coaster of emotions! I started my week off with being ill. Everything at KISC is twice as good as back home, but sadly being ill is also twice as bad… I was lying in my bed for four days straight, and it felt like weeks… There is always so much going on, and I was just lying in my bed… Luckily I have some nice friends that brought me tea and kept me company.
But after four days in bed I finally got better, and everything changed! I had an incredible day, I started off by smiling because I felt better! Little did I know what life had in mind for me that day. In the morning I helped out on campsite, something I had wanted to do the entire season but never got around to do It was amazing! I got to clean the toilet complex. Which might not sound fun, but when the sun is shining, you are surrounded by happy scouts, and you get to use a power washer. It can hardly get better, but you know what? It did!
After lunch I got to run a zip wire activity with some scouts from England. After being away for what felt like ages, it was super cool getting to have some guest interaction. Smiling scouts makes it hard to not smile yourself.
To finish of the day I briefly helped out in the kitchen, washing some dishes and dancing to some good tunes!
I ended my day falling a sleep during a movie in the staffroom, with a big smile on my face.
This is why I smile.
And I keep smiling because I live at KISC and get to have days like these.
