Hey boys and girls,
I hope you have been good this year!
And if not, you will by now have found the lump of coal at the bottom of your stocking!
I have a little poem to share with you that I found in one of the Pinkies' stockings:
't was the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Jackolas soon would be there.
The Pinkies were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of fresh snow danced in their heads.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
Pinkies sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a gigantic sleigh, and four tiny reindeer.
With a handsome young driver, eating a snack,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Jack.
More rapid than Swiss trains his reindeer they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Dasher! now, Vanya! now, Melanie and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Catarina! on, Jeanette and Blitzen!
To the top of the Chalet! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
So having now finished delivering the presents, I took a little trip on safari and joined the Pinkies and guests at their New Year's Eve disco!
As well as the local villagers and monsters at a village party!
It's been a very busy week, and the Reception Manager told me that they have had lots of guests including a very successful International Rover Week.
So remember to be good this year, and you will be sure to get lots of presents (and are not taken to Spain?)
