Remembering a Long Time of Magic in KISC
Yia-hara! It seems to be when someone is leaving KISC they have the best chance at being voted as Smile of the Week! I thank all the KISC Staff for this and I will take this opportunity to say goodbye to all of my KISC friends, guests, supporters, suppliers, Committee members and staff, as Saturday is my last working day at the Centre.
I am one of the few that have had the experience to work in all of the KISC staff segments, being a short term staff in Summer 2000, a long term staff in 2010/11 and the Operational Director from Autumn 2012. I can say that although the responsibilities are quite different in each level the Magic of Kandersteg has remained the same throughout the years.
I will certainly miss working at KISC, and especially working with an international team of Scouts that are motivated to do their best to offer as much as possible for the Centre and keeping BP’s dream alive.
During my time here at KISC I have managed to meet many new people (my Facebook friends have increased from around 500 friends before coming here to 762) and I just hope that I have managed to contribute something to all of these people’s enjoyment of the Centre. I hope that in the near future I will have the opportunity to meet them again ether at KISC or in another spot around the world.
If you have never been to KISC before I would sincerely recommend you to do so, but be careful, as there is a bug in this area that is very contagious that makes you want to come back over and over again. This is what happened to me.
Good Bye and thank you all for everything!!!
