ADVENTUROUS & BEAUTIFUL
I’m Jordy Northern Ireland, one of the 7 new Autumn short term staff members, and the newest smile of the week! I’ve been a pinkie here in Kandersteg for just over a month now and can honestly say it has been thoroughly enjoyable. I have spent time away from home before through both employment and education, and it was these experiences that made me seek a new challenge, which came in the form of becoming a pinkie, a decision that I certainly do not regret!
There has been no specific incident that has made this week exceptional enjoyable for myself, I believe there have been a number of different contributions. I am still in a good mood over my time spent with the Portuguese Work Party, they were a great bunch of people, very inviting and social and extremely hard working which made working with them a pleasure. And now with the arrival of the Spanish work party I sense it can be equally as enjoyable! Also, I have been lucky enough to be involved with the programme section of the centre, mainly overseeing some of the activities that the centre has to offer to an international school from just outside Geneva. Making a contribution to the KISC experience for the guests on an active and firsthand experience is very enjoyable, especially for someone from my sporting background and one that I have found extremely enjoyable.
In additional to that, I have been very productive on my much valued days off. The majority of the time I’ve been hiking, climbing and socialising with my fellow pinkies. I will sump up my time here in two words: ADVENTUROUS & BEAUTIFUL!
