The New Year's Edition of the International Rover Week starts in the evening of Thursday, 27th December and will end in the morning of Wednesday, 2nd January. During your time in Kandersteg you will live together with the other Rovers taking part in the week in several rooms in the New Chalet. But if you dare to face the cold outside, it will also possible to spend one night outside in the snow in your own igloo that you are going to built as part of the activities set out for you during the week. During the entire week, special Rover Week Helpers in Green will take care of you, ready to answer any questions and to help out with the programme. They will also take part in all of your activities to make sure you'll make the best of your stay with us!
We put together an entire programme for every day for the entire week to guarantee that you won't spend a single boring second during your time at the Centre. As you can see from the table below there's also enough free time planned in that you can use to explore the valley around Kandersteg on your own and live your personal adventure! Cross country skiing isn't even action for you? Just use a free day to add an entire day of downhill skiing or snowboard to your programme! Or go discover the beauty of the Swiss Alps on snow shoes if you prefer it quieter. It's all up to you! A few ideas on what to do on a Winter's day in Kandersteg can be found in the winter section of our KanderActive activitiy brochure!
The cost for the entire week is set at the special price of only 250 CHF (approx. 210 €). Included in this price is your accomodation in the Old Chalet, all the meals in the Centre and packed lunch for activity days outside, as well as all the programme activities listed in the table above. Any additional activities that you want to organise for yourself on free days will have to be paid outside of the discount package of the Rover Week. The price also includes our specially festive New Year's Eve dinner with an apero at our ice bar and entrance to the "Masquerade Ball" themed Disco! Additionally you will also receive an International Rover Week badge at the end of the week!
Apply as soon as possible as the participation is limited to a total of 70 people! You are in for an unforgettable changeover of 2012 into 2013, together with other Rovers, Pinkies and Helpers from all over the world!
As we received enough applications already, the deadline for applying has been lifted! This means it is possible to apply up until the Rover Week is happening and as long as there are beds available in the Old Chalet. But we are expecting a busy week at the Centre, so if you definitely want to get a space on the New Year's International Rover Week, make sure to still apply as soon as possible!
