What can you expect?
As an international event, the Jubilee International Rover Week 2013 aims to bring together people, both individuals and groups, from different countries within Scouting and Guiding. During your 10-day stay at KISC you will be offered a wide range of acitivities in the Swiss Alps, inside and outside of Kandersteg. Not only will you find out more about the Swiss Alps and the history of KISC, but you'll also get to know people from all over the world - more than ever, our Jubilee Rover Week is designed for a maximum of interaction and exchange between you and the other participating Rovers! You can expect to have an individual, customised experience while practicing real teamwork with new found friends from all around the world. If you are into living new experiences, getting to know new cultures and learning about Scouting in other countries, the Jubilee International Rover Week is the perfect event for you this Summer!
Who can participate?
All Rovers, Rangers and Leaders, 18-30 years old, belonging to a National Scout Organisation recognized by WOSM or WAGGGS. With participants from that many different countries and a focus of exchange between cultures, it is elementary for every participant to be able to speak and understand English as all the communication before and during the event will be done in English!
You can participate individually or as a group. If you're interested in applying, please contact your National Scout Organisation's international commissioner as all applications are collected nationally by the different ICs who select the people that are sent to KISC!
