From summer camps and ski trips to family holidays and special events, we welcome over 12,000 guests from more than 50 countries a year. We have 4 different buildings across 17 hectares of land, with over 350 beds in our indoor accommodation and room for more than 1,200 people on our campsite.

Kanderlodge

The Kanderlodge is our building with more upscale accommodation, particularly suitable for families with small children, solo travellers, couples, small groups and corporate or conference groups looking for more privacy and comfort. Most rooms are named after Swiss lakes and alpine animals, while some have the names of the groups that sponsored them.

New Chalet

The New Chalet is particularly suitable for leaders, couples, solo travellers and conference groups looking for a bit more comfort. Most rooms are named after different peaks found in the nearby Swiss Alps.

Old Chalet

The Old Chalet is suitable for families and groups of various sizes. Rooms will not be shared between groups. Most rooms in the Old Chalet are named after a National Scout Organisation or Scout Region that contributed to the renovation and decoration of the room. Bathrooms are shared across the floor. The Old Chalet and the New Chalet have connected buildings.

Sunneblick (group house)

The Sunneblick is situated close to the Chalet and is rented out to a single group at a time. This building is ideal for groups who want some privacy while still being close to the main building.

Tower (group house)

The Tower is a charming group building located on our Campsite and is rented out to a single group at a time. With its large hall suitable for both serving meals and running activities, it is perfect for larger groups who want some privacy while also being close to the Campsite.

  • There is currently a construction site close to our campsite, as the BLS is working on replacing the tracks in the Lötschberg Tunnel. This may result in an increase in train activity, noise levels during the day, as well as partial lighting during the night on some of our sites.
  • The Tower is rented to one group at a time. Minimum occupancy is 30 people.
  • Bedding for each person is provided. The use of sleeping bags is not allowed.
  • Beds need to be made by the guest upon arrival.
  • Pets allowed upon request

Campsite

Our Campsite is where most of our groups stay during the summer when we can have over 1’500 guests during high season. Split into two different locations, the Rovergelände and the Main Campsite, it is perfect for campers and groups of various sizes wanting to feel the Permanent Mini Jamboree feeling and camp surrounded by the incredible Swiss Alps.

The overnight price doesn’t include any campsite equipment rentals. Usage of pioneering poles is free of charge, however we do not supply pioneering rope. Firewood, butane and propane gas, gas stoves, tents, tables and benches and cooking equipment are available for our guests for a small fee. In high season it is necessary to request the equipment in advance as they are subject to availability.

  • No vehicles and camper vans are allowed on the Campsite.
  • Luggage and equipment can be transported by hand operated carts.
  • Fires should only be made in a fire barrel or in designated campfire places.
  • Digging holes in the ground is not allowed.
  • It is your responsibility to separate your rubbish and recycling carefully and bring it to the recycling centre during opening hours.
  • Wi-Fi is only available outside the campsite office.
  • Full campsite services are available from mid-June to mid-August. Outside these dates, it may still possible to camp, but the only open facilities are in the Chalet or the Roverglander.
  • Pets are allowed only on your campsite; dogs must be on a leash and you need to pick up any dog waste.
  • During July and August, you may be required to share the campsite with another group as we have lots of Scouts camping at KISC!

Rentals

If you are staying on our Campsite, then you do not need to bring all of your heavy camping equipment with you, you can request the cooking and camping equipment from us. When staying indoors, then you can rent a guest kitchen where you can cook for a group of up to 20 to 40 people. When coming in Winter, we can arrange ski and snowboard rentals with a special scout discount in the local rental shop in the village.
