In winter, the road is usually kept relatively clear of snow up to the edge of Kandersteg village. However, snow is possible anytime between November and April, and the road through Kandersteg village to KISC is usually snow covered in the winter time. Therefore, we recommend that all cars should be equipped for snow conditions! Therefore we recommend snow tyres and snow chains, as well as a shovel in your car during these times.
