Policies
Our policies include our Environmental Policy and our Safety Policy. The documents are reviewed and updated on a regular basis. We have internal teams who deal with the operational aspects of these policies - analysing and auditing our working practices and making suggestions of how we could work smarter and safer in future. Our high Staff turn over allows us to get new views and ideas regularly in these areas. We take these ideas and discuss them within our teams with the aim of improving the Centre.
Safety Policy
Our Safety Policy aims to protect all our guests and Staff during their stay, both in the Centre and outside. Our Emergency Team, made up of Long and Short Term Staff, manage the day-to-day implementation of the policy. The team analyse our working procedures, guided activities and review any incidents. This analysis helps us to identify 'hotspots' in activities or trends in minor incidents occurring and allows us to make the changes required to stop or minimise the danger.

Environmental Policy
Our Environmental Policy is designed to minimise our impact on the environment - be that locally or globally (i.e. the reduction of harmful emissions from our buildings and vehicles). Our Environmental Team, also made up of Long and Short Term Staff, regularly analyse and audit our performance, giving ideas on how we could lessen our impact. This method of working helps us to take the best ideas from all over the world and tailor them for our needs making our Centre more environmentally friendly everyday.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.
